I switch out one slot between a ropecaster, a tripcaster and a forgefire (dlc flamethrower), with 3x handling, 3x DMG and 1x DMG+1x Fire mod (all purple). My last slot is an icerail with 3x purple DMG mods. For armour, I use a Nora silent hunter heaving with a stealth mod , a ranged and melee and ranged defense and an ice or fire resistance mod

Left of wheel is the trusty Adept Striker Bow Coiled for Damage. 3x Pristine Weapon Coils and at least a 59% Handling Coil. I would say this is the best all around bow in the game, especially if you use the damage/fire hybrid I will discuss later. Bottom of Wheel is an Adept Champion Bow with 3x 67% Handling 25% Damage 17% Freeze Coils and a 50
Also remember that the adept stalwart armor is only available after you finish the necessary quest in ng+. For the adept Lodge weapons, you need to come first in the hunting trials again in ng+. However there are no adept shield weaver or adept tearblaster. You can get another one of them but they serve no purpose.

I'm not just talking about a 20 - 30 second load time, it's literally taking 3 - 5 minutes to load. I've tried moving it to a different SSD but the issue still persists.

It really depends on your combat and play style. I like to fire close shots and use quick shot weapons that dont do as much damage as heavier weapons or sharpshot weapons. So a warrior bow is good for me. I also kept a sharpshot bow on hand so that I could shoot wildlife for crafting materials, etc. I also like it for stealth missions
